At Taiki, sustainability is at the core of everything we do. As a B2B manufacturer of custom makeup brushes, beauty tools and sheet masks, we recognize the importance of minimizing our environmental footprint. That’s why we’ve partnered with Global Climate Initiative to complete our first Carbon Footprint Report. This marks a major milestone in our journey towards greater Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
In 2023, Taiki Cosmetics Europe generated 2448 tons of CO2e. This is the equivalent of flying around the world 402 times. This report has given us a clear understanding of where we stand and has allowed us to create a plan to reduce our emissions by 35% by 2030. We’re committed to transforming our operations to meet this target and build a more sustainable future.
To achieve our ambitious goals, we’ve outlined a series of concrete actions aimed at reducing our carbon emissions:
1. Team Training and Awareness
Sustainability begins with knowledge. We will roll out training programs across our company, including Climate Fresk workshops that will help our teams understand the challenges of climate change and empower them to adopt more sustainable practices.
2. Eco-Design for All Product Categories
We are implementing eco-design principles across all our products. From makeup brushes to reusable beauty tools and sheet masks, we are rethinking the entire lifecycle of each product—focusing on sustainable materials, reduced waste, reusability and recyclability—while maintaining the high standards of quality that our clients expect.
3. Optimizing Transportation
Transportation is a significant factor in our emissions. We are working to streamline our logistics by consolidating shipments and selecting greener transport options whenever possible, to further reduce our carbon footprint.
As a private label manufacturer, we know that our efforts don’t just benefit us—they help our clients meet their own sustainability targets. By adopting eco-design and reducing our carbon emissions, we enable brands to offer more environmentally responsible beauty tools and packaging. This collaboration helps our clients respond to increasing consumer demand for sustainable products while enhancing their own CSR efforts.
